The philosophy that we live and breathe, and that runs through all Cannons Basketball teams (Senior & Youth) has been condensed into these three simple statements…

Established in 2006, Cannons Basketball Club quickly became a fixture in the community, and currently boasts 2 senior teams and our popular Cannons Basketball Academy, that provides competitive opportunities for children of all genders who are between the ages of 10 and 14 (hopefully soon including an U14 NBL team). Cannons in the Community has been harnessing the power of sport and the growing Cannons reputation to positively impact the lives of young people, adults and our community as a whole since 2006. The CinC programme has seen basketball grow to an unprecedented level in Clacton-on-Sea (Essex, UK), and is also
helping to grow the game steadily in Clacton’s surrounding areas – including the larger town of Colchester. The team pride itself on being more than just basketball! Putting relationship building,
knowledge and energy at the heart of delivering a variety of programmes, in a range of sports, to over 1,000 individuals every week!
